This project is for construction of Reach 5 for flood protection. .1 Work covered by the Contract Documents generally includes: .1 Mobilization; .2 General Requirements .1 Temporary facilities and controls .2 Environmental Procedures including ECO Plan, monitoring, inspection and reporting; .3 Implement and manage temporary traffic accommodation plan, including pedestrian accommodation; .4 Implement and manage vibration control measures. .5 Ensure compliance with Municipal standards, guidelines, bylaws and other requirements. .6 Manage and implement Public Notification during Pre-Construction and Construction phases, or as required by Municipality. .3 Site Preparation and Removals: .1 Construction fencing .2 Erosion and Sediment Control measures .3 Tree preservation .4 Grubbing; .5 Removal of miscellaneous waste such as rubble, concrete material, soil piles, tree falls, material that is not suitable for construction, etc. within the work area; .6 Topsoil stripping, screening and stockpiling; .7 Remove and dispose of existing outfall headwall and flapgate; .8 Remove and dispose of existing manhole and concrete pipe; .9 Raise hydrants; .10 Remove and dispose of existing monitoring wells; .11 Sawcut, remove, and dispose existing asphalt trail walkway .12 Remove, salvage and reinstall solar-powered trail lights .13 Remove, salvage and reinstall rip rap .14 Site preparation for pile driving rig .4 Structural .1 Supply and install approximately 600 linear meters of Sheet pile AZ 19-700 wall .2 Supply and install internal steel bracing systems .3 Supply and install reinforced concrete pile caps .4 Supply and install retaining wall .5 Civil and Earthworks .1 Load, haul, place, spread and compact approximately 50,000 m3 of ownersupplied clay .2 (Provisional) Supply contractor-supplied clay .3 Supply and install sluice gate chambers, including precast chamber, sluice gate, and pipe connections .4 Supply and install 1500mm and 1050mm storm sewer pipe as shown on drawings .5 Supply and install various manholes, catch basins, storm sewer pipe, subdrains, pipe insulation, surface swales, etc. as shown on drawings. .6 Supply and install precast headwall and flapgate for 1500mm pipe .7 Supply and install riprap channel at Clearwater River outfall .8 Prepare trail and walkway subgrade and base .9 Harvest (from offsite), store, prepare and install live willow staking as part of bank stabilization works .10 Restoration of disturbed areas, including repair of concrete curbs, asphalt parking lots, re-painting of parking lot lines .6 Landscape Works and Site Finishings .1 Supply and install asphalt trail including tie-in to existing trails and sidewalks .2 Supply and install concrete walkway finishes, including thickened slab for shelter structure .3 Supply and install shelter structure, picnic tables, waste receptacles and all other site furnishings .4 Supply and install guardrails and handrails .5 Paint thermoplastic trail centerline .6 Place stockpiled topsoil and finish grade; .7 Topsoil and sod on landside of berm .8 Topsoil and seed on river side of berm .9 Tree and shrub plantings where indicated .10 Restoration of all disturbed areas .11 Painting of sheet piles in accordance with indicated colour pattern .7 Remove all temporary facilities and controls, perform general site clean-up, and make good any other damages or deficiencies .8 Demobilization Documents can be obtained from https://rmwb.bidsandtenders.ca/
