Design-Build Proposals are being sought for the following trades: Pre-Engineered Metal Building Design, engineer & construct system components as outlined in the Scope of Work. Provide construction documents and specifications for inclusion in final construction documents. Collaboration with the Design Team, NBW Architects and its consultant: Musgrove Engineering (Electrical) in the development of "Best Value" Participation in regularly scheduled design progress meetings. Provide ongoing input with respect to constructability, construction cost, construction duration, sequence of construction, and construction means and methods for each specialty system. Development of constructability and value engineering suggestions. Obtain competitive bids from qualified sub-subcontractors and equipment/material vendors. Cooperation with the Owner's purchasing personnel. The Idaho State Veterans Cemetery - Blackfoot is a 40-acre Veterans Cemetery serving more than 20,000 eastern Idaho veterans and their families. The site includes plots for in-ground casket burials, cremation, scatter garden and a columbarium, which is a building with nooks to place urns. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT In general, the Project consists of the construction of a storage/ maintenance building to house and maintain the equipment used for operations at the Cemetery. The building will be a new pre-engineered metal structure of approximately 2,720 SF and all associated finishes, electrical systems, and site work. The project budget is estimated at $720,000 inclusive of all construction, design, equipment, contingencies, and Owner related costs. CONSTRUCTION TIMELINE It is anticipated that a notice to proceed will be issued by Headwaters Construction Owner before October 5, 2022. Project duration is approximately (7) months, and completion will be about April 15, 2023. However, efforts are being made and input sought to accelerate this timeline. A formal site visit has not been scheduled. It is highly recommended that proposers become familiar with the site and existing conditions.
