The City of Laconia Department of Public Works is seeking sealed bids for Screened Sand for the 2022-2023 winter season. The City of Laconia Department of Public Works is seeking sealed bids for screened sand for the '22-'23 winter season. Sand particles must be 3/8-inch minus with 0% to 6% passing a No. 200 sieve. The total anticipated quantity to be delivered is 1,000 to 2,000 tons. Delivery will be on an as needed basis. The City will guarantee a minimum of 1,000 tons. Bid price must remain fixed until April 15, 2023. All bids shall be submitted on a cost per ton basis, delivered to the Public Works site located on Bisson Avenue in Laconia. The City may inspect the pit before award to verify that representative sand will meet the City's requirements. Additionally, the low bidder may be asked, at any time, to provide a sieve analysis/gradation report representative of the sand being offered. If the City shall require such an analysis the supplier must produce the report within 48 hours of the request. Deliveries with excessive frozen material, as determined solely by the City of Laconia's DPW Foreman, may be refused. The City of Laconia reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any formality in the bidding process, and to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the City. Failure to submit all information called for may be sufficient grounds for disqualification. The City may cancel this bid request at any time for any reason.
