The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for this project. Steel shells of cast in place concrete piles originally had a protective coating applied such as coal tar epoxy. Due to age of the bridges and environmental exposure, the protective coating has deteriorated and oxidation has resulted in loss of section of the steel shell. To protect the steel shell, pile jackets will be installed. Follow other incidental construction in accordance with the location, notes and details shown on the plans, and as directed by the Engineer. All work on this contract must be complete within 201 Calendar Days. Extensions of contract time due to weather are specified in the Standard Specifications Section 108.7F, weather days. It is estimated a Notice to Proceed is issued such that work starts on or about December 19, 2022.
