Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Aledo, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project location is located on the College Ave. & SW 2nd Ave Alley between Main St. and SW 2nd St. in the City of Aledo. Work consists of 198' of 8" sanitary sewer main, 135' of 4" sanitary sewer laterals, 2 manholes, pavement restoration, sidewalk, curb & gutter and additional appurtenances. All questions shall be directed to Shane Larson at slarson@hutchisoneng.com and received no later than September 26, 2022 at 4:00 PM. All questions shall be answered by issuing addenda no later than September 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid forms, and must be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Security and other documents as may be described in the Instruction to Bidders. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the Owner or a satisfactory Bid bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to not less five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price as a guarantee that the Bidder will within fifteen (15) days after the date of the award of a contract execute an Agreement and file bonds and insurance as required by the bidding documents if the Bid is accepted. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute and file an Agreement, Bonds, and Insurance as required in the Bid Documents, the amount of the security submitted with the Bid shall be forfeited. Holding of Bids: No Bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of Bids without the consent of the Owner, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing Bids. Prevailing Wage: The contractor to whom this award shall be made pursuant to this procurement shall be subject to all applicable to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including but not limited to compliance with 30 ILCS 570/ (Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act) and 820 ILCS 130/ (Illinois Prevailing Wage Act).The submissions of the proposal or bid by the Offerer in response to the Advertisement for Bids constitutes an acknowledgment of and an agreement by the Offerer that it understands and will comply with the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act and the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bonds: A Contract Bond for payment and performance is required in connection with this procurement. The bond shall specifically provide that the Principal must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (IL Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sec. 39(s) -1-12). Award of Contract: The Owner reserves the right to reject any Bid for failure to comply with all requirements of this notice or any of the Bidding Documents, however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to award a contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner.
