Demolition, site work and new construction of a municipal facility in South Lake Tahoe, California. Design plans call for the construction of a municipal facility.
Plans call for the purchase of four buildings at 1111 and 1119 Emerald Bay Road for county offices. The first priority for the county would be to rehabilitate 1111 Emerald Bay building to relocate the county's Health and Human Services Agency from the El Dorado Center. The county will also move the Public Health Department from the Johnson Center to the 1111 Emerald Bay location. Improvements for the 1119 Emerald Bay Building would allow for the move of the county's Tahoe offices of Transportation, Building and Planning. The other two buildings may be used for a conference center and office space for the county supervisor. Per the owner, as of May 28, 2024, the buildings have been purchased and they have selected a design team. A timelne for bidding and construction has not been determined.
