Sealed proposals are invited from qualified and experienced mining and reclamation firms who are interested in a nonmetallic mining operation and reclamation for Washington Countys Heritage Trails County Park, 4668 CTH E, Slinger, WI 53086 located in the Town of Polk, Washington County, WI. The scope of work for this request includes, but is not necessarily limited to planning, extraction, processing, and sale of up to 7 million cubic yards of sand and gravel reserves on up to 91 acres of park lands. Exhibit 1 outlines a sample map of Heritage Trails County Park. The awarded firm would be responsible for the development of a mine plan, park master plan/final reclamation plan subject to approval by Washington County prior to any agreement or contract execution. Detailed composition logs of the borings along with sieve analyses of each boring, conducted by Giles Engineering are included as Exhibit 2. Washington County reserves the right to waive any informalities or technicalities and to reject any and all proposals or parts thereof deemed to be unsatisfactory or not in the County's best interest. Furthermore, Washington County reserves the right to cancel any contract for failure of the successful firm to comply with the terms, conditions and specifications of this request and/or contract. Washington County reserves the right to award this request to the responsible, responsive firm whose proposal is overall most advantageous to the County and complies with the specifications, service and can meet the requirements of this request.
