Information regarding subbid opportunities and the construction timeline has not been determined.* ________________________________________________________ The City of Astoria (City), Oregon, is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms (Proposer) with demonstrated experience in the design of transmission waterline improvements. To be considered, interested parties must submit their Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) in accordance with the requirements set forth in the RFQ. In general terms, the project includes the design of approximately 1,400 feet of replacement distribution waterline located within the 16th Street right-of-way between James Street and Jerome Avenue. The new waterline will replace an existing 18-inch cast iron line built in 1895. The existing waterline is located in a tunnel and the new line is anticipated to be directionally bored for the majority of the pipe length. All firms who intend to submit an SOQ must register as prospective proposers with the Public Works Department. Standard selection criteria include but are not limited to project understanding and approach, availability, ability to meet project schedules and experience. No pre-submittal meeting is planned for this project. SOQ's received after the above specified time will not be considered. The carrier, including the United States Postal Service, is considered an agent of the proposer. As of May 16, 2024, per owner a construction manager/general contractor has been identified.
