The North Platte Housing Authority is now accepting proposals to replace 18 gas furnaces, 18 air conditioner units, and 9 gas water heaters at our Autumn Park complex located at 900 Autumn Park Drive. This project will require a licensed HVAC technician and a licensed plumber to complete. NPHA will be responsible for obtaining all city permits required. The Contractor(s) will supply all labor, material, equipment, and services to complete all work required for this project at the following apartment addresses: 1. 902 A/B 2. 902 C/D 3. 904 C/D 4. 906 C/D 5. 908 A/B 6. 908 C/D 7. 910 A/B 8. 1002 A/B 9. 1002 C/D Each address consists of 2 furnaces, 2 air conditioners, and 1 water heater Furnace Replacement: Remove and dispose of existing furnaces (18) Install new gas furnaces (18)- furnaces must be 60,000BTU and 80% effic. or better Provide any venting or fittings necessary Replace gas lines (18) Replace all brass gas valves with updated ball valve shutoff (18) Air Conditioner Replacement: Remove and dispose of existing air conditioner units (18) Install new air conditioner units (18)- units must be 2-Ton 410A with a SEER rating of 13 or better Install new coil and line set (18) Replace any disconnects necessary- there are no disconnects identified at this time for replacement but the Contractor will be required to replace any deemed necessary Water Heater Replacements: Remove and dispose of existing water heaters (9) Install new gas water heaters (9)- water heaters must be 40 gallon gas units with side venting such as a Rheem brand. There is very limited space in the mechanical room where the furnaces and water heaters are located and not all brands of water heaters will fit in this space. A furnace must be removed to get the water heater in or out of the mechanical room therefore the HVAC technician and plumber will have to coordinate together for this project. Replace gas line (9) Permanently remove old water line thermostats and replace with appropriate fittings (9) Replace all brass gas valves with updated ball valve shutoff (9) The Contractor shall provide a warranty period for a minimum of 12 months with a preference for a 24 month warranty period
