Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Gramoll Construction has been selected by The University of Utah as the Construction Manager/General Contractor for the University of Utah ACC OR Expansion project, which is a Multi-phased project. Work hours are normal working hours, minus any noisy work such as saw cutting floors and jackhammering, or any shutdowns need to be coordinated with a PACE Plan with 4 weeks notice. There are patients that occupy floors 4-6 24/7 so all noisy work will need to be coordinated with the occupants. The 3rd floor has ongoing surgeries and there is an operating room in the hallway to the west. Material deliveries will need to be coordinated with the loading dock for times (hospital deliveries take precedent). Morning deliveries are strongly encouraged/required. There is a frieght elevator that offloads right by our job site that is 10. Any other Materials that are larger than 10 will need to be brought up the South Stairs. Parking will need to be offsite and workers will need to be shuttled in from the designated construction parking lots on campus (by Red Butte). If you have questions about phasing please call Dustin. PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO PAGE G103. This is the phasing plan. This is called a 2 phase project, with 2 sub phases involoved in the 2 overall phases. The work involved for the locker room and the Breakdown and Dirty Intake room will have to be done at nights or over weekends. This is an active surgical coridor and cannot be shut down during the week. They are done with Surgeries roughly at 6PM, Monday - Friday. There are no surgeries on the weekend. The Locker Room will be done in the first phase, and the Breakdown and Dirty Intake will be in phase 2. Please reference the overall schedule as well for feedback on the phased schedule. Once phase 1 is complete (Break Room, Conference Room, Temp trash/anesthesia room, Locker Room) they will be moving in for about 2 weeks. We need to move the existing folding partition from the current break room down the hall to this new break room in this phase. Once they move out, we start the demo of phase 2 (everything minus the temp trash/anesthesia) we need to get the permanent rooms (trash, anesthesia, specimen, materials management, physicians touchdown) completed so that they can then move out of the temp trash and anesthesia room. We then will finish those spaces to the shared office, anesthesia office and supply room, while finishing the 2 OR rooms. The roof Drains on level 2 have already been ran in the ceiling space, but the floor needs to be cored and the pipes need to be connected as part of this bid, but you dont need to bid the roughly 60' of primary and secondary roof drain piping already in the 2nd floor ceiling space. As a reminder, Masks are still a requirement at the hospital. Please make sure all employees will be wearing masks during the entirety of the project. All personel on the jobsite will also be required to be badged and go through the HIPA training before starting onsite. Gramoll is requesting proposals on Demolition, Misc Steel, Millwork, Doors and Frames, Ceiling Tile, Ceramic Tile, Flooring, Wall and Door Protection, Folding Partition Salvage/Move, Overhead Coiling Door, Corner Guards, Fire Sprinklers, Drywall, Joint Sealants, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical. Onsite walks will be coordinated with Gramoll Construction if needed. Please give a couple days notice so we can coordinate with occupants. Last Day to Submit Questions by - 10/4/22 @ 2:00 PM Final Addendum Posted by (If Needed) - 10/7/22 @ 2:00 PM Subcontractor & Supplier bids due by - 10/11/22 @ 12:00 PM Project Substantial Completion Date - 12/2023
