The Borough of Tamaqua will receive sealed bids for the demolition of 517 Washington Street, 130 Clay Street, 300-302 Race Street, and 161 Penn Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. The demolition projects include: Project A - 517 Washington Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252 Parcel No. 65-07-0025.000. Project B - 130 Clay Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252 Parcel No. 65-12-0041.000. Project C - 300-302 Race Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252 Parcel No. 65-15-0211.000. Project D - 161 Penn Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252 Parcel No. 65-16-0047.000. Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a certified check, money order or bid bond in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid payable to the Borough of Tamaqua. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price with surety listed in OMB Circular 570. The project, if bid over $25,000, will be subject to state Prevailing Wages, which are included in the contract documents. The project is also subject to federal labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, and MBE and WBE participation. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities, defects, errors, or omissions or to reject any or all bids or portions thereof.
