For various street materials for the year 2023. The contract contains an Escalator Clause for Price Adjustment of Bituminous Materials. Bids must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope clearly marked: BID FOR 2023 STREET MATERIALS. Bids must be addressed to: Borough of Tamaqua, Attn: Tonia L. Collevechio, Borough Secretary, 320 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. The Borough assumes no responsibility for bids that are mailed but not received. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a certified check, money order or bid bond in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid payable to the Borough of Tamaqua. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price with surety approved by the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities, defects, errors, or omissions or to reject any or all bids or portions thereof.
