This project will provide critical detention improvements along advantageous open tracts of land within the watershed; coupled with grade adjustments to the existing bayou in efforts to reduce water surface elevations to benefit the area while ensuring no adverse impact to downstream neighbors. Project will incorporate current drainage and stormwater design standards. During preliminary feasibility an additional analysis is required to develop a successful project. Schedule and scope will need to be further defined prior to moving forward to final design. This project will be prioritized with other GO Bond projects and an alternative funding source developed if the estimated cost exceeds the authorization of the PROP A budget to get the best cost/benefit ratio for the project. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
