The City of Grand Forks is seeking a qualified firm to plan, mitigate and report on biosolids reduction program for the City of Grand Forks, ND. The City of Grand Forks is working to reduce the biosolids within Primary Cell 2 of the wastewater treatment lagoons. The proposal will need to describe the methodology used as well as explain the tools that will be used in this process as well as how this will be documented and reported to the City of Grand Forks. The pond is 201 acres and is designed to hold 330 million gallons of wastewater. On average the daily loading is 80-120 k gallons/day with 3.5% solids and 70% volatile. This system was built in 1960-1962 and receives a bypass of approximately 2 million gallons per month. This is an aerobic system with no solids digestion. This proposal is to help reduce the biosolids for the City Grand Forks, ND. The submission materials will be reviewed by a team including representatives of the City of Grand Forks Water Department. Based on that review, up to three finalists will be notified. Interviews of the finalist can be conducted by the same group if deemed necessary. A recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for review and approval.
