The Fallen Leaf Road Recreational Access Project will minimize pedestrian, bicyclists, and vehicle conflicts that occur on Fallen Leaf Road between the Fallen Leaf campground and Tahoe Mountain Road. The proposed project will include construction of approximately 2.2 miles of shared-use path with paved trailhead parking at either end of the path. The project would start at Fallen Leaf Campground and end near the intersection of Tahoe Mountain Road and Angora Ridge Road. Project is included in the El Dorado County's FY 2022 - 2042 CIP. As of October 4, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated in FY 2024/2025.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
