Notice is hereby given that Hawthorn School District 73, Lake County, IL, will receive sealed bids from interested trade contractors for work for Hawthorn School District 73 - Elementary School North Renovations - Bid Release 1. Trade Packages include; 05A-1 Structural Steel, 06A-1 General Trades, 08B-1 Aluminum, Glass, and Glazing, 09A-1 Drywall, 09D-1 Acoustical Ceiling, 09F-1 Flooring, 09G-1 Painting, 21A-1 Fire Protection, 22A-1 Plumbing, 23A-1 HVAC, 23B-1 Test and Balance, and 26A-1 Electrical. All Contractors shall use the Bid Day Label provided with their Bid Form. SCOPE OF WORK The project includes interior renovations (new floor, ceiling, and wall finishes) throughout an existing single story, 69,200 square foot elementary school. New interior drywall partitions, glazing systems, casework and furnishings will be installed throughout the building, along with complete mechanical system replacement, new and replaced plumbing fixtures, expanded fire protection system, and new lighting and electrical system upgrades. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS Prospective bidders should contact Lamp Incorporated (Kari Christensen, kchristensen@lampinc.net, 847-741-7220 x315) to be placed on the bid list. Bidders will then be granted access to download drawings for free. Lamp Incorporated will be utilizing for the entire bidding process, including addenda, so all interested bidders must contact Lamp Incorporated to access the portal. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 10% of the bid is to accompany the proposal. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days of the award of the contract. All Performance and Payment Bonds will be in accordance with the requirements stated in the AIA 232 General Conditions. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this project. This Project is Tax Exempt. The Board of Education of Hawthorn School District 73 reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any bid irregularities.
