Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at the Department of Public Works, immediately after specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend. he Work generally consists of the following approximate quantities: 2,600 LF Sanitary Sewer 3,850 LF Sanitary Sewer Lateral 100 LF Water Service 100 EACH Water Service Curb Box Replacement 2,450 TON Base Aggregate Dense 1,000 TON HMA Pavement 665 LF Curb and Gutter 4,850 SF Concrete Sidewalk 1,500 SY Lawn Restoration Bids will be received on a unit price basis. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check as bid security, in the sum of the bid, payable to the Village of Jackson as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of Contract. Should any bid be rejected, such bid security will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such bid bond or check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the Contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the Contract and Performance Bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the Village of Jackson as liquidated damages.
