Project Name: Control Road & Houston Mesa Road Project (TRACS) Number: T0390 03D & T0391 03D District: Northcentral Route/MP: Control Rd. from approx. 2 miles west of SR 260 to approximately 0.35 miles east of Roberts Mesa rd. Houston Mesa Rd. from AZ State Route 260 to 0.4 miles south of Nf-198 Funding Source: HSIP Construction Funding FY: FY 2023 Control Rd.: Design of pavement with a double application chip seal the unpaved section of Control Road beginning approximately 2 miles west of SR 260 to approximately 0.35 miles east of Roberts Mesa Road (1.75 miles of paving total) and install centerline and edge line pavement markings, install centerline and edge line shoulder rumble strips on Control Road from AZ State Route 260 west to the end of the existing paved roadway, and install 4 fluorescent curve warning signs. The new paved section will be 24' wide with 11' wide lanes and 1' wide shoulders. Houston Mesa Rd.: Pavement of 5' shoulders and installation of centerline and edgeline shoulder rumble strips on Houston Mesa Road from AZ State Route 260 east to 0.4 miles south of Nf-198 (4.5 miles total) Control Rd.: The design consultant shall lead the project development process. Stage submittals shall consist of Stage II, Stage III, Stage IV and Final PS&E. Environmental considerations are CE only. No additional right of way is anticipated to be required. No known utilities exist along this corridor. Blue Stake shall be used to identify any existing utilities. Houston Mesa Rd.: The design consultant shall lead the project development process. Stage submittals shall consist of Stage II, Stage III, Stage IV and Final PS&E. Environmental considerations are CE only. No additional right of way is anticipated to be required. There is an existing waterline in the ROW. This project is anticipated to not impact the waterline. Bluestake shall be used to locate and identify any and all utilities. For each project the consultant shall provide a bid package which includes plans, specifications and estimates for construction. The design consultant shall also provide necessary project management tasks including coordination, meetings, project schedule updates and comment responses. Document retention, project schedule, and risk register updates within the Workfront platform will be required. Questions, in writing, shall be received by ECS at the below email address until 3 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE SOI DUE DATE at 2:00 P.M. (Arizona Time).
