The work for which bids are requested includes the following: General roofing construction: including all necessary surface preparation and the installation of a new roof membrane system upon an existing 64 diameter groundwater reservoir, along with other related work called for in the Project Documents. All necessary clarifications will be documented and issued through formal addenda. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanies by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the LAKE GENEVA UTILITY COMMISSION as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bonding within 15 days after issuance of the Notice of Award. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the Bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the Bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Lake Geneva Utility Commission as liquidated damages. Required bonding to be submitted for contract security will include a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to the contract amount. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the Bid Opening. The Lake Geneva Utility Commission reserves the right accept the most advantageous bid, waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
