Quotes are invited on the following project: The project involves the installation of a total 430 +/- linear feet of 4-foot high, black vinyl coated chain link fence. Contractor to provide a concrete footing for all corners, intersection posts and gates. Installation of four (4) 36" x 48" black vinyl coated chain link gate and two (2) double 36" x 48" gates for maintenance access, contractor to provide a concrete footing for all gate posts. All fencing and gates shall not have more than a one-inch gap between materials, including the bottom of the fencing and grade. Add Alternate No. 1: Installation of 4-foot high, black vinyl coated chain link fence. Delete Alternate No. 1: Removal of 36" x 48" black vinyl coated chain link gate. Delete Alternate No. 2: Removal of double 36" x 48" gate. The New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.) establishes a prevailing wage level for workers engaged in public works in order to safeguard the workers efficiency and general well-being, and to protect them as well as their employers from the effects of serious and unfair competition resulting from wage levels that are detrimental to the efficiency and well-being of all concerned. Public works projects subject to the Act are those funded in whole or in part with the funds of a public body. Contracts awarded directly by municipal government must be valued at $16,263.00 or more to be covered by the Act. Contractor must be able to mobilize within ten (10) days of the Notice To Proceed. The contract length is Thirty (30) Calendar Days from the Notice To Proceed. The Borough of Chesilhurst reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in its best interest.
