San Antonio College of Los Angeles County, California, acting through its Governing Board of Trustees, hereinafter referred to as District, shall receive sealed bids for the award of a contract for the Athletics Modular Roof Replacement. Bids shall be valid for minimum of ninety (90) days after the Bid Deadline. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashiers check, or a bid bond in favor of the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price in the manner described in the Owner Documents. Bidders shall comply with California Public Contract Code Section 4108 with respect to subcontractor bond requirements. NOTE: Material lead times are six to nine months. Each Bidder submitting a proposal to complete the work, labor, materials, and/or services ( Work ) subject to this procurement must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. A Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a proposal for the Work is deemed not qualified and the proposal of such a Bidder will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5, all Subcontractors identified in a Bidder s Subcontractors List shall also be DIR Registered Contractors. This project requires that the Contractor and any subcontractor(s) shall pay not less than the prevailing rates of wages to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
