California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act Per California Public Contract Code 22032, any Public Works Project that is estimated to be $200,000 or less is subject to the Informal Bidding Procedures set forth by the State of California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA). The City of Alameda invites all interested California licensed contractors to complete and submit the City's pre-qualification applications. The list of pre-qualified contractors is designed so contractors can receive a "Notice Inviting Bids" for informal bidding projects under $200,000 in their work trade category. Only prequalified contractors will be notified of upcoming Public Works project that is estimated to be $200,000 or less. If the City of Alameda identifies a project appropriate for Informal Bidding, it will notify all the Pre-Qualified Contractors, in the applicable license trade categories, of the availability of the project for bidding. The City of Alameda will provide a general description of the project and the required construction services, instructions on how to obtain additional information regarding the project, and the time and place for submission of bid proposals. These notices will be mailed at least ten (10) days prior to the latest date for submission of bid proposals. Applicants will be notified of their application's status within six (6) weeks of submission.
