As of November 1, 2022, no bids came in for this project. No definite date for the rebid. Purpose. This Bid is being solicited by Luzerne County for Huntsville Extension U-Drain Installation. Location: Huntsville Extension, Lehman Township, PA. Scope of Work The intent of this project is to cost effectively complete swale alignment, drainage and inlet improvements. Engineer will field mark limits of work. All work is As Directed by Engineer. Scope of Work is to remove sediment and taper slopes to improve swale capacity and flow into and out of drainage systems along county roads. Work will include inlet repair and reconstruction, inlet hand cleaning, and swale cleaning. Contractor will be required to make a PA1 call for project locations. The work performed is maintenance that require minor E.S. Controls, follow best management practices. All work is as directed by onsite engineer. All work completed in accordance with this Scope, Penn DOT Pub. 408 and Penn DOT RC Standards that apply to individual work items. LOW's will be marked prior to bidding. Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) o Pipe Cleaning: Only hand cleaning of pipe throats is required. o Inlet Cleaning: Only hand cleaning of inlets is required. o 6" Underdrain with Sock and Installation Modified Penn DOT specification for 24"-30" depth in a one-foot width trench. Grade and slope is based off of existing edge of pavement and shall flow into the nearest inlet or outlet over the slope at a maximum of 425'. Typical stone backfill is AASHTO #57 stone. Measurement and Payment: Lineal Foot (LF) o Traffic Control: Contractor will supply daylight pattern traffic control in accordance with Penn DOT Pub. 213. Contractor will provide a traffic control plan to the County Engineer for approval. Measure and Payment: Incidental to entire project. o E&S Controls: Entire Project. Controls are as-required for this project.
