The Bedford School District (SAU #25) invites capable and reputable Contractors to submit bids for the project titled "Bedford School District ESSER Funded Unit Ventilator Replacements" project. This project will take place at two locations: Memorial Elementary School and Peter Woodbury Elementary School. Contractors submitting bids for the subject project must be capable of acting as a general/prime contractor responsible for all construction means and methods, general conditions, permits, subcontractors, insurances, bonds and project accounting. A general outline of project requirements for the Bedford School District ESSER Funded Unit Ventilator Replacements project in Bedford, New Hampshire includes, but is not limited to, the following scope of work and responsibilities: 5. Bids shall be opened publicly on the date stated above. Submissions must include a completed Bid Form, proof of insurance, acknowledgement of the required construction schedule and detailed explanation of any exclusions and/or exceptions to the proposed scope of work. Contractors will be notified of the results and the contract awarded subject to review and approval by the Bedford School District. The Bedford School District reserves the right to waive irregularities in bidding, to reject any and all bids at will and without explanation, and to make the Contract award in the best interest of the Bedford School District. The Bedford School District is not responsible for any expenses incurred by the contractor with regard to preparation and submission of their bid. (a) A bid guarantee from each bidder equivalent to five percent of the bid price. The "bid guarantee" must consist of a firm commitment such as a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument accompanying a bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required within the time specified. (b) A performance bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price. A "performance bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to secure fulfillment of all the contractor's requirements under such contract. (c) A payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price. A "payment bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract.
