Dayton High School Rooftop Unit Replacement Sealed proposals for the Lyon County School District Dayton High School Rooftop Unit Replacement Scope of Work: Replace existing AC-1, AC-2 and AC-3. AC-1 is a 30-ton rooftop unit with horizontal discharge. AC-2 is a 30-ton rooftop unit with vertical discharge. AC-3 is a 40-ton rooftop unit with vertical discharge. AC-2 and AC-3 are to be installed with adapter curbs to the existing roof curb. The existing AC-1 supports are to be removed and new supports with spring vibration isolators to be installed underneath the new unit per the structural drawings. Owner has purchased a Trane, cooling only 30-ton Unit for AC-1 and AC-2 and 40-ton unit for AC-3 with respective adapter curbs for AC-2 and AC-3; that is to be delivered and stored on the site. Unit submittal has been included with the specifications. New ductwork is required for AC-1 to connect to existing duct penetration, also new supply ductwork is to be installed in the return air plenum. Contractor will be responsible for moving, craning, and installation of new unit and associated duc work. See structural drawings for required structural modifications. Contractor shall perform startup on the unit per manufacturer's startup checklist. Contractor to patch and repair existing BASF foam roof around the removal of the existing curbs and new rooftop unit curb. The roofing work shall be performed by Brazos Urethane roofing contractor to be able to maintain warranty. See associated electrical drawings for electrical scope of work. After-hour work accommodations and access will be coordinated with Lyon County School District. Contractors desiring to bid on this work shall be contractors presently licensed under the Nevada State Law, NRS 624.240. Contractor shall also have a Lyon County Business License. Every proposal shall be accompanied by a surety company bid bond, cash, or by a certified or cashier's check made payable to the Board of Trustees, Lyon County School District in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, said amount to be forfeited to Lyon County School District should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into his contract in accordance with his bid and other contract documents, and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) days after the receipt of notice of such award. The physical work is to be commenced upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed scheduled to be issued on Friday, 18 November 2022. Work shall be completed by February 10, 2023 (Weather permitting). Liquidated damages are stated in Section 00 08 00 Supplementary General Conditions. The right is reserved to reject any and all proposals or accept the proposal which is deemed by the Board of Trustees of the Lyon County School District to be in the best interest of the School District.
