UC Merced is replacing two carrier chiller units with like in kind higher efficiency units. The Central plant chiller floor will need to be structurally reinforced during the removal and addition of the chillers. The current electrical plumbing, and mounting pads for both units will need to be reworked to meet the new chiller requirements.
