The work includes removing existing median islands, widening of existing US 40 for auxiliary lanes, grind and resurface existing US 40 pavement, minor geometric modifications to Nottingham Road and Old Neck Road, installation of median traffic barrier, drainage, stormwater management and erosion and sediment control, signing and pavement markings, and a new traffic signal for the construction of a portion of US 40 (Dual). The project limits begin west of the intersection of US 40 and Nottingham Road/Old Neck Road and extend east of the intersection, for a total distance 0.35 miles. Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project.
