The Facilities Department to shortlist applicants for interview. Interviews will be conducted on Thursday, November 17, 2022, beginning at 10:00 AM in the Nelson Building Band Room- 1 story with renovation of existing Band Room and Choir Room (5,590 sf ) and Addition of support spaces to include Offices, Music and Instrument Storage, Circulation, HVAC (4,357 sf addition) Total project- 9,947 sf Outdoor Education Classroom- 1 story new freestanding building to be a classroom building to consist of Lobby, Teacher Office, Large Classroom, Class Restrooms, Outdoor Instructional Area, Storge, HVAC and IT support spaces. Total project- 3,610 heated/cooled sf As authorized by Florida Statute 287.055, the selected firm(s) will establish a preconstruction services agreement, then a guaranteed maximum price with an established completion date. Required components of service for assigned projects will include the following: Collaboration with the Architect and School District Options Analysis, value engineering, cost estimating, scheduling Market analysis, cultivation of bidders, preparation of bid packages and bidding of trade contracts Participation in the School District's direct materials purchase program to recover sales tax Preparation of a Guaranteed Maximum Price Providing a Performance, Labor and Materials Bond Construction management and site supervision Reporting and documentation of subcontractor's licenses and costs with each pay application Warranty management Firm(s) selected must have the manpower to mobilize quickly and complete awarded project(s) on an accelerated schedule Applicants that have submitted qualifications in response to a Request for Qualifications from Bay District Schools in the last 36 months should only submit five copies of a letter of interest, information about your current workload and updated copies of your insurance certificates and contractor's license. New applicants should submit five copies of the Statement of Qualifications packet.
