Renovation of a municipal facility in Livingston, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Livingston (TOL) is seeking qualification statements from firms to facilitate required design and engineering services. TOL is interested in contracting with a firm to provide the professional engineering and architectural services associated with projects including the design and inspection all in compliance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements and the Louisiana Governors Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) requirements. The TOL Department of Public Works Building located in Livingston, Louisiana, sustained substantial damage from Hurricane Ida in 2021. This facility serves as the DPW headquarters, which includes heated and cooled offices for DPW personnel. The facility is approximately 100 feet by 130 feet and is a metal structure with an interior office build out, along with 1 kitchen, 3 restrooms, 3 offices and multiple storage areas throughout. The exterior of the structure includes near completely moisture-damaged insulated metal panels, along with the gable roof suffering the same moisture problems due to high winds and flying debris. Since hurricane season is active, TOL needs to restore these critical facilities as quickly as practical.
