Renovation of a multi-residential development in Marshallville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Will receive bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to construct:FLINT AREA CONSOLIDATED HOUSING AUTHORITY, IQC, TASK 19, MARSHALLVILLE, GEORGIA- 2228 consisting of comprehensivemodernization oftwo dwelling units Proposalssubmitted by mailshould be addressed to the Flint Area Consolidated Housing Authority, 542 Richardson Street, P.O. Box 67, Montezuma, Georgia 31063 and plainly marked as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders, Section OB. A certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the Housing Authority, or satisfactory bond executed by an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Specifications, or other form acceptable to HUD and the LHA, and in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay forsatisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. All sureties must be authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia and must be listed on the U.S. Treasury Department Circular No. 570 (most current list), published annually listing companies approved to act as surety on bonds securing government contracts, and said surety or sureties must be in accordance with maximum underwriting limits on each contract as specified in the above mentioned Circular No. 570. Before the opening of bids, bidders or their representatives may attend a Prebid Conference with representatives of the LHA and the Architect. The conference will serve to allow bidders to visit the site(s) and address questions to the LHA and Architect. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Specifications must be paid on this Project. No bids may be withdrawn for a period ofsixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
