The Town encourages participation from small businesses, women's business enterprises, minority-owned firms and labor surplus area firms pursuant to Federal and State law as outlined in 2 C.F.R. Part 200.321. This provision (the six affirmative steps) shall be adhered to and incorporated into this solicitation and contract by reference. If subcontracts are to be let, through a prime contractor, that contractor is required to take the affirmative steps as detailed in the referenced statutes and furthermore herein. The contractor(s) will obtain required building permits and furnish all labor, materials, and tools necessary to perform the following tasks: a. Contractor shall provide and install all necessary pipe, catch basins, and accessories required to provide a complete and operating drainage system as required by and indicated on the included contract drawings. b. Contractor shall be responsible for milling and resurfacing the asphalt roads as indicated on the contract drawings. Until that time when the milling and resurfacing are to start the Contractor shall be responsible to maintain all temporary patches on road crossings to minimize any inconvenience to the Public. c. Contractor shall be responsible for the complete restoration of all areas disturbed and/or damaged during the drainage system installation to existing or better condition including, but not limited to, driveways, swales, fences, irrigation systems, walkways, etc. The work will be performed between Hiatus Road to the East, the N-20 Canal to the West, SW 16th Street to the North, and the N-26 Canal to the South. This project is located within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Davie Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to bids@davie-fl.gov no later than 5:00 PM on November 09, 2022. The selection of the successful bidder(s) shall be at the Town's discretion and shall be made in a prompt manner after the receipt and evaluation of all ITB responses. The Town of Davie reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any and all irregularities in any submission, and to make awards in the best interest of the Town.
