Shavings should be shaved wood, no or very limited sawdust content. Individual bales are to be wrapped in heavy plastic paper. Shavings bales are to be 12" x 16" x 29", compressed 3.5-4.0 cubic feet per bale, and shall weigh 40-50 pounds suitable to bed 10' x 10' stalls. Shavings bales must be identified with the name of the vendor and cubic feet content of each bale. Shavings bales are to be delivered on pallets, consisting of 32 bales per pallet, and secured with heavy plastic wrap. This material shall be delivered to: Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 9039 S. St. Landry Ave, Gonzales, LA 70737. All material ordered must be delivered within fifteen (15) working days from the date of order. Bids will be accepted on a price per bale only for a period of one (1) year to commence upon acceptance by the Ascension Parish Council. Bid will be awarded as a package bid. Bid is to be submitted for a one-year period. Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. For questions related to the electronic bidding process.
