Renovation of a multi-residential development in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Hamilton Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Housing Type: Elderly 667-1 Development for the Hamilton Housing Authority in Hamilton Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Nilsson + Siden Associates, Inc. The Project consists of: Base Bid - At Building 24 Unit E, Building 34 Unit C and Building 34 Unit D - Renovate existing tenant bathrooms. Alternate No.1 - At Building 24 Unit A renovate existing tenant bathroom. Alternate No.2 - At Building 34 Unit G renovate existing tenant bathroom. Alternate No.3 - At Building 34 Unit H renovate existing tenant bathroom. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 to 27H inclusive.general bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the City or Town Housing Authority. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. SUBTRADES: Plumbing The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (david. mcclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date. NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED. **Sub Bid Date and time (11/18/2022 at 9:00 AM ET) The work under the Contract consists of but is not limited to: 1. At unit 24 E General Contractor remove and legally dispose: (a) Plumbing Fixtures (plumber to disconnect supply and cap waste:) (i) Toilet (ii) Lavatory (b) Electrical Fixtures (Electrician to make safe:) (i) Light Fixtures (c) Wall tile at shower and bathroom walls including plaster and lath backing (d) Grab and towel bars, toilet dispensers and medicine cabinets (e) Shower curtain and rod (f) Plaster and lathe ceiling as indicated in unit 24A to accommodate new soil line at 24E Plumbing Contractor shall remove and legally dispose: (a) Shower head, tub filler and trim Electrical Contractor shall remove and legally dispose: (a) Receptacles 2. At unit 24 E General Contractor furnish and install: (a) Clean and seal existing grout at tile floor (b) Solid surface at shower and bathroom walls including furring and wallboard (c) Grab and towel bars, toilet dispensers and medicine cabinets including concealed blocking (d) Shower curtain and rod (e) Prepare and paint all wallboard and ceiling board including ceiling at 24A (f) Ceiling board and furring as indicated in unit 24A to accommodate new soil line at 24E Plumbing Contractor shall furnish and install: (a) Shower head, tub filler and trim (b) Toilet (c) lavatory Electrical Contractor shall furnish and install: (a) Receptacles (b) Light and vent 3. At unit 34 C AND 34 D General Contractor remove and legally dispose: (a) Plumbing Fixtures (plumber to disconnect supply and cap waste:) (i) Toilet (ii) Lavatory (b) Electrical Fixtures (Electrician to make safe:) (i) Light Fixtures (c) Wall tile at shower and bathroom walls including plaster and lath backing (d) All plaster and lath at wet wall to expose existing supply and waste lines (e) At first floor units C and D plaster and lath ceiling to accommodate soil line work (f) Grab and towel bars, toilet dispensers and medicine cabinets (g) Shower curtain and rod Plumbing Contractor shall remove and legally dispose: (a) Supply and waste lines for all fixtures (b) Shower head, tub filler and trim Electrical Contractor shall remove and legally dispose: (a) Receptacles 4. At unit 34 C, AND 34 D General Contractor furnish and install: (a) Clean and seal existing grout at tile floor (b) Solid Surface at shower and bathroom walls including furring and wallboard (c) Solid surface at wet wall including wallboard and furring (d) Grab and towel bars, toilet dispensers and medicine cabinets including concealed blocking (e) Shower curtain and rod (f) Prepare and paint all wallboard and ceiling board Plumbing Contractor shall furnish and install: (d) Shower head, tub filler and trim (e) Toilet (f) Lavatory (g) Supply and waste lines Electrical Contractor shall furnish and install: (c) Receptacles (d) Light and vent 5. All Work either shown on the drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done.
