This project is anticipated to start on 11/28/2022 with a completion date of February 28, 2024. Liquidated damages are $500 per calendar day. This is a prevailing wage project. OWNER has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this contract. These rates are on file at OWNERS office, and a copy may be obtained upon request, or at electronically. Contractor shall post a copy of these rates at the job site. ALL PROJECTS OVER $1,000 ARE SUBJECT TO PREVAILING WAGEMONITORING AND ENFOREMENT BY THE LABOR COMMISSIONER. Subcontractors must comply with the requirements set forth in Education Code Section 17407.5 and Public Contract Code 2600, et seq. pursuant to AB 566 to provide a "Skilled and Trained Workforce". To bid on or perform the work stated in this Notice, SUBCONTRACTORS must possess a valid and active contractors License for their scope of work. No SUBCONTACTOR shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of & sect; 4104 of the Public Contract Code for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless currently registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and qualified to perform public work Pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. All subcontractors must furnish electronic certified payroll records (eCPR) to the Labor Commissioner [specify weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly] PDF format. Registration at electronically is required to use the eCPR system. The following notice is given as required by Labor Code Section 1771.5 (b)(1): All Subcontractors are required to review and comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, beginning with Section 1720, as more fully discussed in the Contract Documents. These sections contain specific requirements concerning, for example, determination and payment of overtime compensation insurance, and various criminal penalties or fines which may be imposed for violations of the requirements of the chapter. Submission of a bid constitutes SUBCONTRACTOR's representation that SUBCONTRACTOR has thoroughly reviewed these requirements. Project subject to the Concrete Delivery Legislation (AB 219). 14. This Project does require prequalification pursuant to AB 1565 of all general contractors and all mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractors (Any Contractor submitting a bid under any of the following license classifications A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 and C-46). Prequalification is due no later than November 4, 2022. Contact JTS Construction for Prequalification information. A bid will not be accepted from any bidder that is required to submit a completed questionnaire and supporting documents pursuant to AB 1565 but has not done so at least three (3) business days prior to that date. 15. Owner has a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises of at least 3 percent per year of the overall dollar amount of the Mary Chapa Academy Multi-Purpose Building, which is funded by the State Allocation Board funds pursuant to the Leroy F. Greene School Facilities Act of 1998 for construction or modernization.
