Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Diagonal parking on the north and south sides of 2nd Ave. North between 4th and 5th Streets. Parking area will be concrete. Project is eligible for the Governors Downtown Initiative Project, application to be submitted Fall of 2022. Pavement, amenities, and storm sewer are eligible for 80 percent federal funding with the local share being 20 percent. Costs are proposed to be split between the county and city for the local share. County funds will be tied to the additional parking adjacent to the Courthouse. This project is in included in the City of Wahpeton FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Plan. As of November 04, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
