The Board of Education, DuPage High School District 88, Addison, IL, hereinafter referred to as the owner, requests sealed, single lump-sum proposals according to the Contract Documents prepared by Wight & Company, hereinafter referred to as ARCHITECT, for the above referenced project. The project generally consists of the replacement of selected HVAC systems at both schools. The major equipment will be pre-purchased under a separate contact and will be provided to the installing contractor under this contract. Action on Proposals will be taken by the owner at a later date, at a regular, adjourned, or special meeting of the Board of Education. All proposals received after the hereinbefore stipulated time and date will be rejected and/or will not be accepted and will be returned to the bidder unopened, at the option of the owner This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities in the bidding procedure as their interests may appear The project is the recipient of DCEO grant funding and as such will have Business Enterprise Program Public Act 96-1064 requirements (MBE/WBE), Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act requirements (30 ILCS 570/0.01 et seq.), and be subject to Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/Art. 20) The Work consists of the following: 1. The Scope of Work includes installation of new HVAC equipment provided by others under separate Pre-Purchase contract as well as associated mechanical and electrical work to make units operational and tie into existing HVAC systems. Work includes supplemental framing of roof to support new units as well as miscellaneous roof patching and interior work to support new mechanical and electrical work.
