Renovation of an educational facility in Teutopolis, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of removing and replacing approximately 13,850 square feet of an existing foam over built-up roof system down to the existing deck. It will be replaced with a new fully adhered EPDM roof system including coverboard, insulation, and base sheet. Prevailing wages in accordance with Effingham County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a 'Contract for the work awarded them. Bid security shall be made payable to Teutopolis Community Unit School District #50. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond or a Labor & Material Payment Bond is required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner. Award of a contract is anticipated to occur at the November 2022 meeting of the Board of Education. Begin construction on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. The Work shall be Substantially Complete on or before July 28, 2023.
