Questions are submitted online No There are two gas fired units that require replacement due to age and parts availability. Humidifier 1 serves the Traveling Exhibit and Humidifier 4 serves Collection Storage. Humidifier 1 is currently out of commission and being used as spare parts to keep Humidifier 4 online. Humidifier 4 is serving a critical space and crucial to the materials and artifacts stored in that controlled zone. The traveling exhibit has not been utilized for its intended use due to Humidifier 1 being out of commission. The project is to replace the two existing gas fired units with two electric humidifiers. This will replace the existing equipment in two mechanical rooms and the distribution units in the rooms served. Existing pipe to the distribution heads from the humidifiers is to be utilized. All work needed to complete this project are in the scope of work found in the mechanical and electrical drawings attached herein as reference. A responsive and responsible BID is expected to be "Turnkey" and the awarded contractor responsible for all work and subcontractors. Building automation controls (BAC) are not included in the scope and will be a separate contractor hired by the City. Coordination with the BAC contractor will be required to achieve Final Completion for this project.
