North Poudre Irrigation Co. (NPIC), Owner is accepting proposals for Park Creek Reservoir Expansion Project CM/GC Solicitation. The Solicitation is available on the NPIC electronically. The Park Creek Dam water storage expansion project includes risk reduction features to improve the safety of Park Creek Dam and reduce the risk of a dam failure incident. The feasibility study included a potential failure mode (PFM) risk screening workshop on the existing dam. A PFM workshop will be scheduled on the proposed design for evaluation of all risk reduction features. The proposed rehabilitation and expansion will raise the normal water storage level 10 feet, providing approximately 3050 ac-ft of additional water storage. The dam crest would be raised (5 - 7) feet to provide freeboard and wave overtopping protection. The preliminary feasibility design identified construction of an MSE Wall on the dam crest to provide the necessary freeboard. The design team will be required to identify and evaluate alternative crest freeboard systems. The construction scope of work is anticipated to include: Construction of a new downstream filter, drains, and stability berm. Raising (10-feet) and enlargement of the spillway. Raising the dam crest 5-7-feet, construction of a concrete or MSE wall for freeboard and wave overtopping protection and modification of the gate superstructure. Owner will also consider similar project experience, contractor integrity, compliance with public policy, past performance, and financial and technical resources. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or technical defects as the best interests of Owner may be served.
