As of December 28, 2022. The project has been awarded with the amount of $988,797.30. Offeror agrees to furnish all materials and equipment and to perform all labor necessary to install 6,500 LF of 16 raw water main, 115 LF of 24 jack and bore, valves, fittings, and all related work. Time allotted for completion of Work is 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of a written Notice to Proceed from OWNER. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. No proposal may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days. The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as utility contracting in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a Utility Contractor. Therefore, the Contractor submitting a proposal must list the license number of the Contractor performing the utility contracting on the face of the proposal envelope and on the proposal. No proposal will be opened unless it contains the Contractors Utility License Number on the envelope. See Instruction to Offerors for additional proposal requirements. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashiers check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an A minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of Bests Key Rating Guide Property Liability. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful offerors if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a Power of Attorney authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. All qualifying Contractors and Subcontractors performing work with the Houston County Board of Commissioners must register and participate in the federal work authorization program commonly known as E-Verify, or any subsequent replacement program, to verify the work eligibility information of new employees. In order for a Proposal to be considered, it is mandatory that the Offerors E-Verify number be listed on the outside of the Proposal envelope. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Proposals and to reject the Proposal of any Offeror if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Offeror, whether because the Proposal is not responsive or the Offeror is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
