Renovation of an educational facility in Richmond, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Eastern Kentucky University ("Owner") is soliciting proposals for our Heat Plant Roof project at our main campus. The scope of the project is outlined in the following information including all attachments. Alternate No. 1 Shall consist of painting of Rooms and/or Items as shown on the Room Finish Schedule and identified as Alternate No. 1 Painting. Bid bonds as well as Payment & Performance bonds are required for this project. Additional information attached in the document titled Article 15 under the "Buyer Attachments" tab of this solicitation. When submitting your proposal, please upload your bid bond under the "Supplier Attachments" tab. Substantial and Beneficial Completion of each Phase of the work shall be within the following number of calendar days after issuance of the Written Purchase Order. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE to achieve Beneficial Completion of each Phase A and B. Phase A shall be achieved within One-Hundred Eighty (180) calendar days after the issuance of a Written Purchase Order. Phase B shall be achieved within Two-Hundred Forty (240) calendar days after the issuance of a Written Purchase Order. Substantial Completion shall be achieved within Two-Hundred Eighty-Five (285) calendar days after the issuance of a Written Purchase Order. Final Completion shall be within Thirty (30) calendar days after the Date of Substantial Completion. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES shall be subject to the terms 36 of the General Conditions and, as more specifically, described as follows: If the work described as "Phase A" is not beneficially complete within the time required in Article No. 4 of these Special Conditions, the Contractor shall pay to the Owner, as liquidated damages for delay and not as a penalty, the sum of Two-Thousand dollars ($2000.00) for every day after the date for Beneficial Completion until construction for Phase A is in fact beneficially complete. If the work described as "Phase B" is not beneficially complete within the time required in Article No. 4 of these Special Conditions, the Contractor shall pay to the Owner, as liquidated damages for delay and not as a penalty, the sum of Two-Thousand dollars ($2000.00) for every day after the date for Beneficial Completion until construction for Phase B is in fact beneficially complete.
