Site work and paving for a civil project in Ketchikan, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
New pavement on all Gold Nugget Service Area Roads. Work will also include adjusting manholes and valve boxes throughout. HDPE water mains have approximately thirty years left in their service life and there has been no indication of issues with the ductile iron sewer mains. Known issues include potholes and failed CMP culverts. Project performance is predicated upon receipt of grant funding for road construction. This project is in included in the Ketchikan Gateway Borough FY 2024-2028 ClP. As of September 6, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
