Mailed bids shall be sent to the Columbiana County Port Authority, 7860 Lincole Place, Lisbon, Ohio 44432. The bidders may be required to give references and such other detailed information as will enable the owner to judge responsibility, experience, skill, and financial standing. Bid from contractors inexperienced in this particular type of work will not be awarded a contract. Attention is called to the prevailing wage rates for public improvements in Columbiana County, Ohio to be paid where applicable for labor on public projects in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond with an approved surety company in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid as surety for the execution of the contract. A certified check on some solvent bank drawn and made payable to the Columbiana County Port Authority, in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid will be accepted in lieu of said bond.
