This Project consists of improvements to Clarke Park Playground, 500 E Illinois St, Hammond LA 70403 ("Project Site"), as described in these Preliminary Pages, the Specifications, any included Drawings, and any future Addenda. The estimated cost of this Project is $145,000, inclusive of bonded rubber safety surfacing, playground components, freight, and professional installation. Playground improvements shall consist of - 1. a shaded playstructure for 2-5-year-olds--including a chimes panel at ground level; a store counter at ground level; a petal/bean step/seat at ground level; deck heights of 32" and 40"; varied climbers to the 32" and 40"-high decks; a transfer station to the 32"-high deck; an activity panel at the 32"-high deck; an activity panel at the 40"-high deck; 1 curved slide from the 40"-high deck; 1 embedded wear mat at the base of the slide; and a shade canopy covering the play structure. Note: this play structure's design is largely based on the play structure for 2-5-yearolds installed in Cate Square Park, 200 W Charles St, Hammond LA 70401. 2. a freestanding seesaw with capacity for up to 8 2-12-year-olds. 3. a single-post swing set with 4 bays, each at a 7' height, including 3 belt swing seats; 2 flat (e.g. polyethylene) swing seats; 2 toddler swing seats; 1 accessible swing seat; and 8 embedded wear mats beneath swings. 4. bonded rubber safety surfacing installed over existing poured-in-place surfacing, recontoured to the use zones of an existing main playstructure for 5-12-year-olds and to the use zones of the new playground components listed above. 5. 6 embedded wear mats at the bases of the main playstructure's slides (including 2 at the base of the triple slide).
