Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cave Spring, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as "Owner," on behalf of the Georgia Department of Education (SBE), ("Using Agency"), will accept sealed bids for the project entitled Roof Replacement Warehouse Building, Cave Spring Campus in strict conformity with bidding and contract documents. This project will consist of complete removal of the existing EPDM roofing system and related components down to the deck, installation of new roof insulation, new TPO roofing and new sheet metal components. The base bid consists of reroofing the Warehouse Building at the Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Spring, GA. 1. Remove existing roofing materials, insulation, flashings, and other material down to the deck. 2. Remove the existing sheet metal perimeter and penetration flashings. Coping, fascia, counter flashing, pitch pans, gutters, downspouts, etc. 3. Remove derelict curbs and RTUs as indicated on the construction drawings or spray painted with an orange "X". 1. Install new wood nailers of appropriate thickness for the roof to drain smoothly. 2. Replace structurally unsound deteriorated wood components. 3. Include in the base bid the cost to replace 50 linear feet of wood nailer. 4. Install new decking to infill deck openings resulting from demolition of derelict curbs and RTUs with 18 gauge metal sheeting fastened to the roof deck. 5. Raise curbs, vents, stacks, and penetrations to 8 inches+ above the finished roof height. 6. Install wood nailers as required to install metal flashings and terminations. 1. Install new polyisocyanurate 1/4 " tapered insulation and cover board. 2. Install the specified fully adhered TPO membrane system.
