Per the owner, as of October 17, 2024, this project is in design. The owner states that the project is anticipated to advertise for bids in 2025 and construction is anticipated to begin in 2025/2026. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............. The City of Cave Spring requests statements of qualifications and proposals from firms to provide comprehensive engineering services for state and federally-assisted water improvements, including but not limited to planning, preliminary engineering, permitting, funding assistance, surveying, mapping, design, and construction administration. Within a year from the date of this notice the City plans to contract with a reputable firm to perform the above activity for a period of up to three (3) years. Responding firms must be licensed in the State of Georgia and demonstrate strong qualifications and successful experience to provide all necessary engineering services for public water systems. The City will select the firm it determines to be most qualified to provide engineering services for this project. This procurement will support possible funding through the Georgia Environmental Finance City (GEFA), Economic Development Administration (EDA), Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), USDA Rural Development, and/or any funding agency subject to requirements of 2 CFR 200 for procurement. This request is not a request for retainer services. Immediate plans call for engineering services required to assist the City of Cave Spring with water system improvements particularly replacement of leaking and under-sized lines. Water evaluation and planning may lead to recommendations and implementation of additional improvements during the period of this agreement. The following information should be submitted for our evaluation: 1) History of firm and resources 2) Federal Funds Engineering Experience, including GEFA, EDA, ARC, USDA, etc. 3) Key personnel/qualifications 4) Scope and level of service proposed. 5) Current Workload 6) Experience with similar projects and lists of references. 7) Errors and Omissions Insurance. Please provide a copy. 8) Statement of Qualifications form Interested parties should request copies of the Statement of Qualifications Form prior to preparing and submitting their proposals. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities in the proposal process. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
