a) Durham College/Ontario Tech University Residence & Conference Centre (the "Residence") is accepting proposals for replacement and removal of existing fire alarm systems at two residence buildings located at the Durham College campus, 2000 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa, ON, as further described in the Associated Bid Documents and Deliverables. b) The residence facilities are managed by Campus Living Centres Inc, who in partnership with Durham College, will oversee and manage this project. In addition, Durham Energy Specialist will to act as the consultant throughout the duration of the project. c) The new system will be installed in parallel with the existing to ensure the residence buildings and residents remain fully protected throughout the project. d) Both residence buildings are fully occupied with students until May 1st, 2023. The residence does operate a busy summer operation from May through the end of August, where at minimum South Village will be occupied at various levels which the Proponent will need to accommodate. e) Durham College, on behalf of the Residence, is not bound to award the full scope of work identified in the RFP package. Durham College, on behalf of the Residence, reserves the right to award the Resulting Contract in part or as a whole to the Proponent, or multiple Proponents. f) Durham College is facilitating this Request for Proposal ("RFP") on behalf of Campus Living Centres. The selected Proponent will be required to contract directly with Campus Living Centres under a CCDC 2 agreement with Supplemental Terms as described in this RFP. Tender Cancelled
