Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Oshawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Scope of this Contract involves the replacement of Bridge Site 1-1007, which spans the Oshawa Creek. The Scope of this Contract includes, but is not limited, to the following: - Private locates to carry out the work and field verification of the existing abutments (including footings) - Clearing and grubbing (including removal of trees to original grade) - Removal of the existing bridge and replacement with a new hot-dipped galvanized prefabricated steel truss superstructure - Removal of the existing bridge abutments (to 500 mm below existing grade) - New cast-in-place concrete abutments and footings supported by helical piles - Placement of boulders along the west and east embankments to retain fill - Embankment rehabilitation - Traffic management including maintaining construction detours and signage for pedestrian users of the existing trail - Installation and maintenance of all applicable erosion and sediment controls associated with working in an environmentally sensitive area - Reconstruction of the existing bridge approaches - New bicycle railings along the west and east approach corners - Restoration of all disturbed areas during construction and - All other work as identified in the Contract Documents.
