Renovation of an educational facility in Blandon, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of January 25, 2023, no bids were received. No definite date for the rebid. The Fleetwood Area School Board is receiving sealed proposals in the Business Office for the following items: Handicap Wheelchair Lift The Fleetwood Area School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Facilities Department is seeking the services for the removal of the existing wheelchair lift and replacing it with a new ADA compliant wheelchair lift at our Andrew Maier Elementary school. Award will be made on the basis of the overall best proposal as calculated by the Fleetwood Area School Districts Facilities Director. The scope of work and general conditions include: 1. The install must be done during the period of June 8 th , 2023 through August 18 th ,2023. The Fleetwood Area School District has attempted to provide the Contractor with sufficient notice and time to do the required work. Any unforeseen issue must be reported to the Facilities Director immediately. By offering a proposal, the Contractor commits to the Fleetwood Area School District that the work can be done during the period noted. 2. Exceptions can be noted on the attached proposaldocument and the FleetwoodArea School District will consider them; however, the Fleetwood Area School District reserves the right to reject any proposal which does not meet its operational needs, regardless of price. 3. The Contractorshall remove the existing wheelchair lift and dispose of all existing parts. Install new wheelchair lift in the exact location that the old was taken out. 4. The Contractor must contact the Facilities department and schedule a site visit to make sure they have all the necessary measurements and requirements for the lift. Contact Kristen Gracely at 610-944-8111 extension 10400 to schedule a site visit. 5. The Contractor is required to supply us with detailed install plans for the new Wheelchair lift. 6. Contractor must certify that they have been factory trained, authorized, and experienced in installing and repairing the new equipment. 7. The Contractor agrees that the Facilities Director shall have the sole authority to determine that the work is properly done and may direct the Contractor to redo any work that is not to his satisfaction at the Contractor's expense. The Fleetwood Area School District may withhold partial or all payment until the work is completed to the satisfaction of the Facilities Director. 8. Contractor must enclose a copy of their current commercial liability insurance certificate with the proposal. 9. All work is to be closely coordinated with FASD's Facilities Department and no work shall begin until authorized by FASD. 10. All work must be done in strict accordance with the manufacturer's specifications following all applicable OSHA and othersafety regulations. 11. Potential contractors may survey the above facilities during normalschool hours and should direct all questions to the Facilities Director. 12. The Contractor is responsible forensuring the areas are secured to prevent personnelfrom entering the work area during tear out and equipment replacement. 13. The Contractorshall provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and safety devices including but not limited to eye and hearing protection, warning signs, etc. The Contractor may not borrow FASD labor, equipment, or materials. 14. All work is to be done during normal working hours (7:00am to 3:30pm). Unless approved by the Facilities director.
