All bidders must submit bid security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid submitted naming as payee or oblige, Maidencreek Town-ship Authority, Berks County. The successful bidder (Con-tractor) will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish a "Performance Bond" and "Payment Bond" all on the respective forms provided in the Contract Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Contract Documents. Question Deadline 07/04/2025 Online - Q&A Any BID received after the time and date specified will not be considered. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of Bids, except as specifically provided by law. Bids will be re-viewed and recommended for award to the lowest qualified Bidder at the Public Meeting of the Maidencreek Township Authority at their regularly scheduled meeting. The consideration of the apparent low bidder will be at the regularly scheduled Authority meeting to be held at 11:00 A.M. pre-vailing time on July 17, 2025. Maidencreek Township Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all Bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. The above invitation to Bidders is made for the benefit of Maidencreek Township Authority, Maidencreek Township, Berks County, and no rights shall be deemed to accrue to any person making a Bid by rea-son of the submission of any bid hereunder or by waiver or non-enforcement of any pro-vision of requirement of this invitation Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof. The award of the Contract and the issuance of Notice to Proceed shall be contingent upon the approval of the Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Agreement and the Certificates of Insurance. The work area is located in Maidencreek Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania along SR 0073 (Main Street) from the intersections of Adele Avenue and SR 0073 (Main Street) to the intersections of Marden Drive and SR 0073 (Main Street) and service connections on Adele Avenue from the intersections of Adele Avenue and SR 0073 (Main Street) to the intersections of Adele Avenue and Lindbergh Avenue. Areas where the 6 inch water main will be replaced are within SR 0073 (Main Street) rights-of-ways from approximately Station 14+00 to approximately Station 35+38. Work is also proposed on Marden Drive and Ina Avenue to tie the existing 6 inch water mains into the 12 inch water main in SR 0073 (Main Street). Additional work area is to connect two water service lines in Adele Avenue from the existing 6 inch water main to connect into the existing 12 inch water main. The project generally consists of abandoning approximately 315 feet of 6 inch pipe in Adele Avenue and approximately 2,400 feet of 6 inch pipe with the installation of approximately 2,200 feet of 12 inch water main complete with valves, fittings, wet taps and appurtenances to include paving restoration, and to connect 33 residences to the 12 inch water main as specified in the Contract Documents and shown on the Contract Drawings. The Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, materials, machinery, apparatus, and tools for the construction of this Project, and materials, equipment or apparatus not specifically mentioned herein or shown on the Drawings, which may be necessary for the proper completion of the entire work or of individual items thereof within the intent of these specifications and drawings, without additional compensation.
